A colorful, visual guide to understanding numbers up to 100 using bundles of tens and single ones.
Understanding Ones and Tens
When you have 9 pencils, you have 9 single pencils (Ones). When you add 1 more pencil, you have 10 pencils. In mathematics, we tie 10 ones into 1 Ten!
Example: 24 has 2 Tens (20) and 4 Ones (4).
Practice with daily objects around your home like matchsticks, rajma beans, or bottle caps to make math tangible and easy!
